We are human beings. We take a lot of things from the world around us, just like any other living creature. But when we speak about this taking, we say things like "the world gave us" the thing we took. No other species of animal has this need to look good and claim that they are so amazing that nature gives them things. I made an audio essay on this phenomenon for an old podcast and am reproducing it here.

The recording was done on an old phone and edited with a mobile app as well. So the quality is a little old-timey radio-like. Future audio essays will sound much better I promise.
